🍪 Cookie Policy
What we store and why
Last updated: July 15, 2026
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Local storage is a similar browser technology that lets a website store data directly in your browser. We use both to make the Services work properly.
2. Categories We Use
- Strictly necessary: your login session, cookie-consent choice, dark-mode preference, and game progress (Daily Challenge, World Tour). These are always on because the site can't work without them.
- Preferences: remembering settings such as your saved destinations and last selected cities in comparison tools.
- Analytics (consent required): Google Analytics 4, to understand aggregate usage and improve the site.
- Advertising (consent required): Google AdSense (website) and Google AdMob (app) may use identifiers to serve and measure ads.
3. Your Choices
When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential (analytics & advertising) cookies. We do not load those scripts until you consent. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
4. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and local storage through their settings. Note that blocking strictly-necessary storage may prevent features like login, saved progress or preferences from working correctly.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Payment pages are hosted by Stripe, which sets its own cookies for fraud prevention. Affiliate partners (Booking.com, GetYourGuide, Skyscanner) and ad providers (Google) may set cookies once you interact with their links or ads. These are governed by their respective policies.
